Ecometric Research is headed by Josh Korman, a fisheries ecologist and modeller with 31 years of experience. His work involves developing novel approaches to the analysis of ecological data, including adaptive management studies. Project include studying the effects of dams on fish populations and the effects of harvesting on exploited populations.

Josh obtained his MSc in biological oceanography and PhD in zoology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is an adjunct professor at the UBC Institute of Oceans and Fisheries, a reviewer for more than 15 scientific journals, and has served on a number of scientific review panels.
